A Modern Steakhouse in the Mountains
Perched on the second floor of Skyline Lodge, Oak Steakhouse offers a contemporary take on the classic American steakhouse, rooted in the flavors and traditions of the Appalachian region. As the first and only steakhouse in Highlands, Oak partners closely with local farms and purveyors to showcase the best of the season, alongside the timeless appeal of Certified Angus Beef® and thoughtfully crafted accompaniments.
The menu is guided by both seasonality and tradition—featuring a balance of signature steaks, composed dishes, and shareable sides that invite gathering around the table. Ingredients are sourced with intention, allowing each dish to reflect both the region and the time of year, while a dedicated pastry program brings a refined, comforting finish to the meal.
Complementing the culinary experience is a beverage program designed with equal care, including an expansive wine list, a rotating selection of cocktails, local beers, and spirit-free offerings. Guests are invited to sip and linger—whether in the dining room or outside on the terrace, where the setting opens to mountain air, the sounds of nearby waterfalls, and the natural beauty that defines Highlands.
Just downstairs, Skyline Lodge’s central lobby bar offers a welcoming extension of the experience. With its mid-century design, vaulted ceilings, and two hand-carved granite fireplaces, the space blends heritage and comfort, serving classic cocktails alongside modern interpretations in an atmosphere that feels both timeless and distinctly local.
