Steve Palmer, Managing Partner
After working in the food and beverage industry for 25 years, Palmer formed the Indigo Road restaurant group in 2009 with a commitment to providing customers a superior dining experience. Prior to his work with the Indigo Road, Palmer contributed to the success of several other staple restaurants in Charleston, spearheading the openings of Magnolias and Blossom, and providing management and consulting services for Planters Inn, Peninsula Grill and Hank’s Seafood. In 1995, he left the Lowcountry to serve as wine director and service manager of Canoe in Atlanta, which received a James Beard nomination for Best New Restaurant and was named a Top Five Anticipated Restaurant by USA Today. Palmer also worked for the Ritz Carlton St. Louis, where he co-created the largest private dining wine cellar in the hotel chain. He later moved on to become vice president of food and beverage for Ginn Clubs and Resorts, where he managed eleven properties and developed over $100 million in hotel and club space.
